Veevus Body Quill Thread is an innovative, versatile material for creating awesome-looking dry and nymph bodies, adding hot spots to your pattern, or enhancing the look and effectiveness of your fly. The thread has a special iridescent, glittering, luminous effect which adds a bit of flash and attractiveness to the fly and acts as a trigger to the fish. It is also translucent - lets the light shine through, thus enhancing the realistic look of the fly and making the pattern more authentic and alive. Adding more layers would provide a deeper color. It is a synthetic, Mylar-tinsel, multi-stranded thread, and very pliable. It is about 2mm thick and lays flat, allowing easy control of the thickness of your application, and can be used even for quite slender, thin bodies. This material works great when coated with UV resin - it enhances the color and creates a super-realistic, liquefied-looking body. This is a super versatile thread and can be used for both wet and dry flies:
  • Create super-realistic nymph bodies: midges, buzzers, chironomids, delicate smaller swing flies, Czech nymphs, Perdigon nymphs, etc.)
