These realistic stoneflies have always performed very well for me on brook and sea run trout. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in the above review on the upside down stonefly nymphs in the last order, they arrived all melted together and I tried to separate the tangled legs. Unfortunately, the flies weren't salvageable. Disappointed but I suspect the mailing package must have been exposed to some extra heat source in the delivery mode.

I threw this stonefly nymph into a deep pool and saw 5 trout chasing it and fighting with each other for it. I've never seen that before with any other pattern I've used. Amazing! I was able to catch a 14" trout in a river that was currently only producing 4-8" trout. Needless to say I am ordering more :D

I give them five stars for appearance. Haven't used them yet. Absolutely gorgeous. No doubts, they will work! Would like a lineup of colors picture in the sale ads. Use the largest fly size and one of each color and make it a close up shot.
