Orange Quill Buzzer is a slim profile buzzer fly that will cut through water and reach depths very quickly. Orange and green hot spots on the head will get the attention of a trout. Buzzers are excellent trout fishing flies. In essence, a buzzer fly is an imitation of the midge pupa or a chironomid. These are extremely effective flies, especially on a lake or a pond. You can fish buzzers throughout the whole the day, but cooler periods on a warm day and warmer periods on a cool day are the best times to fish them. You can fish them in tandem of 2-3 flies, with point fly being the heaviest, or you can use a dry fly as a point fly and buzzers as dropper flies. Orange Quill Buzzer fly comes in three hook sizes: #12, #14 and #16.
