Hemingway's Thread 8/0 is a premium quality, extra strong, standard-use thread, characterized by its particularly rough surface which makes it great for tying any type of dubbing. This thread has excellent tensile strength in relation to its diameter. As it has minimal build-up, it is suitable even for smallest fly patterns, for tying thin and uniform bodies. This thread is recommended for small hooks, sizes #16 to #24. This thread comes with 100 yards (91 meters) of thread per spool and an extensive selection of colors. Besides 8/0, this thread also comes in 6/0 and 3/0 diameters.
Hemingway's thread is my everyday thread. I use more of it than any other brand, and I own many brands. It's smooth off the spool. Lays flat, and is quite strong. The only thread I break is when I switch back to another type for one reason or another, and use the same tension I'm used to with Hemingway's. Colors are nice, and matches their product line perfectly. I highly recommend to anyone who has not tried it. I find it worth mentioning I've never had a bad spool yet either.
