I’ve tried reading glasses on a lanyard, magnifiers that either clip onto hat or regular glasses. None of these methods proved satisfactory. I got the MagniFly magnifier. I clip it onto a strategic spot on my sling pack. I swing the pack around and a quick alignment of the magnifier gives me the view required without having to do anything with my progressive bifocal sunglasses. A simple push puts the lens flat against the pack and out of the way and I’m ready to fish. So far, the best method that I’ve tried.

As another reviewer posted, the clip-ons, on hats or glasses, though great,
have shortcomings.
This magnifier moves up and down my straps quickly and the focal point can be found quickly whether you are looking through your distance or reading half of your bifocals.
I’ll have both clip-ons and my Magni’s at the ready.
