Hemingway’s Tube Fly System – Junction Tube is made of soft, flexible plastic material and designed to complement Hemingway’s Inner, Outer and US Brass Tube components. Junction Tube is a secure connection between the tube and a hook. It improves the effectiveness of the cast and prevents the hook from sliding up and down the leader during the cast. Slide the tube into one end of the Junction Tube and hook into the other end. When a fish is hooked, the hook and junction tube separate, so the fish can not damage the fly with its teeth, thus extending the fly’s life. This Junction Tube can also be used with free swimming hooks as well as for tying bottle tube flies to add a focal point.
Hemingway’s Tube Fly System – Junction Tube comes in two diameters – 2 mm and 3 mm – to compliment other tube parts from the same collection. Made of special plastic material that is temperature resistant and will withstand sub-zero temperatures without cracking. This material is flexible enough that it will not break when used.
The tube is 0.5 m (19.7”) long and is cut to desired length. There is a choice of five colors: Fluo Yellow, Fluo Orange, Fluo Green, Fluo Pink and Clear.
