Hemingway’s Realistic Soft Stonefly Nymph Tails
Hemingway’s Realistic Soft Stonefly Nymph Tails is a unique premium fly tying material made of soft rubber, that is flexible, but also durable and lively in the water. These tails are great imitations of a real thing as they mimic the real shape, size, color, proportion, and movement of a real insect’s tails. As these are already shaped, sized, and colored, by using these you cut your tying time as they are much easier to tie than the traditional goose biots. Plus, you get more realistic nymph tails. Protected – waterproof and UV resistant.

How to Fish Stonefly Nymph Patterns
The main technique when stonefly nymph fishing is to try to imitate the natural behavioral drifting of real insects down the bottom of the stream and keeping the fly on the trout’s eye level. Drag-free dead drifting along the bottom is the best option. Start with an upstream short cast to allow the fly to drop to the bottom, then dead drift down the current until it starts lifting up to the surface. Extending the drift downstream as long as possible would pay off. Using a strike indicator is recommended as it can greatly help in identifying the action.
