Hanak Alpen Nymph 4 in 1 is a collection of high-powered, 6-piece, multi-length rods, made from prime quality modulated carbon. Coming from Europe, Czech Republic, these rods are designed specifically for European nymphing fishing techniques. Their inventive, modular design and construction enable you to quickly build a rod of four different lengths to suit different fishing conditions and fly fishing methods. Hanak Alpen Nymph 4 in 1 Rods can be built in 9.5’/10’/10.5’/11′ lengths. High-quality components and exceptional rod action provide super-precise casting, maximize strike rates and help you land trophy fish. These rods are extra strong and can absorb attacks of even the biggest fish. The 6-piece (4+2) design is perfect for traveling and storage. Three different line weights to choose from: 3wt, 4wt, and 5wt.
Hanak Alpen Nymph rods are medium-fast action rods. The tip on these rods is soft and sensitive, provides excellent strike detection, and can handle very light tippets with no breakages. Reversed half-wells handle is made from high-quality cork. The handle is super comfortable and has a special thumb grip that provides a stronger grasp and higher precision when casting and leading your fly. These rods are fitted with single-foot fly guides.
The Advantage of Multi-Length Hanak Rods
The multi-length, modular feature of these rods is one of their most appraised qualities. Two extending parts are exchangeable, so you can build a rod of four lengths: 9.5′, 10′, 10.5′, or 11 feet. This means that you can quickly switch from a dry fly rod of 9.5 feet to a super-long 11 feet nymphing rod.
- The 9.5-feet length (shortest extensions, 4 pieces) is great for dry fly fishing, short casts, and repeated drifts, and smaller streams.
- The 10′ and 10.5′ are your best Czech and French nymphing lengths, small to medium-sized rivers.
- The 11-feet (all sections fitted) is perfect for long-distance casting, enables coverage of more water, provides great control over long drifts, and is an excellent option for nymphing on large rivers.

Hanak Alpen Rod design and its name has been inspired by the Alps and fishing the Alpine rivers. They are colored blue – a shade that matches the color of Alpine streams. Rods come in a soft cotton storage bag and a high-endurance, lightweight Cordura rod tube in a bright shade of blue.
Hanak Alpen Nymph 4 in 1 Rod is a result of long-term development and testing in cooperation with leading Czech fly fishermen, multiple World, and Europe Champions.
HANAK Warranty on Competition Rods
The HANAK Competition rods 2 years warranty covers any defects in workmanship and materials. It does not cover accidents and/or damage related to overloading, external damage that eventually causes a failure, misuse, intentional breakage, modification, or customization.
If your rod has been fished successfully on its first couple of outings, then it’s good to go forever. Any future breakage is unlikely to be a manufacturing fault.
The First 2 years are free, after that there is a service fee for warranty broken parts.

Very nice rod, the quality is outstanding the reel seat and guides are very nice the finish on the blank is beautiful with a nice iridescence. The fact that this rod can fished at 4 different lengths makes its versatility un-matched by other rods. The rods sensitivity is very nice but at times seems almost to sensitive you can feel your leader untwist in the current. You can feel everything with this rod and would be a great addition to up your Euro nymphing game. I would highly recommend this rod I have the 3wt and have had no issues landing large fish in heavy current.

This rod now has a little over 100 fish on it and has performed beautifully. The sensitivity is fantastic, the flexibility protects your tippet very well with big fish in heavy current and I’m very pleased with this rod’s performance I’ve even been able to cast just a Euro leader about 25feet with it which was surprising only had to slow down the casting stroke to do it. So overall this rod is one any serious Euro nympher should have in their arsenal.
