Hemingway’s innovative precut foil material designed for creating super-realistic looking Gammarus (shrimp, scud) patterns. These backs are easy to tie, they are flexible, waterproof, and UV resistant.

To make a perfect, authentic-looking scud fly add some weight to the curved hook, wrap some dubbing for the underbody, add wire or mono for ribbing. Then simply peel off the back from the backing sheet and tie it on using the tabs. Add the ribbing. You can top it off with some UV Resin for an even more realistic look.

Get a perfect Gammarus or shrimp imitation in no time – a true killer for both freshwater and saltwater fly fishing. Gammarus nymphs are deadly for trout & grayling, as well as coastal fishing for sea trout or sea-run browns, so a Gammarus pattern is a must-have in every fly box.

Comes with 36 backs per pack in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large, and 8 colors. Small size is good for hook #14, Medium for hook #12, and Large for hook size #10.
