Hemingway’s Starlite Dubbing is top-quality synthetic dubbing made from very fine Mylar-type material with a shimmering finish. It is one of the most versatile synthetic dubbing materials. It is super soft and very easy and nice to work with, making it great for smooth fly bodies. It does not absorb water, so flies don’t get heavier. It has a sparking, glittering appearance, so there is no need for adding flash to your patterns. It can be formed into hanks and used for big streamers, or cut for dubbing your small flies. Makes great ‘buggy’ bodies.  It works great by itself but also mixes well with other materials. Great for tying dry fly bodies, streamer patterns, muddler patterns, etc. If you are looking for extra versatile dubbing with sparkle and glitter, that is soft to dub – this would be a perfect choice. Starlite is definitely one of our favorite dubbing blends.
