Awesome video tutorial coming from Steve Craig: a Brown Drake pattern that can be used during the Hexagenia hatch as well. It is a very productive pattern in central Alberta streams and rivers. This pattern uses the Frosty Fly’s Realistic Extended Mayfly Body in Brown Drake, which is extremely durable and floats like a cork. The utilization of a CDC as a hackle makes this pattern extra buggy. Have fun tying and fishing this pattern.
- Hook: Ahrex FW520 Emerger Hook #10
- Body: Realistic Extended Mayfly Bodies in Brown Drake
- Wings: Hemingway’s Mayfly Wings
- Hackle: Brown and wood duck CDC feathers
